About Us

We are independent insurance brokers based in North Shropshire and have been established for over 40 years and collectively our staff have over 100 years experience in the insurance industry. Our aim is to offer a professional and personal service providing excellent levels of cover at direct insurance prices. We have access to leading insurance companies and Lloyds of London and we look to offer the best policies for the needs of our clients.

Major investment has been made in the latest information technology to support the team's expertise and provide a swift and efficient service for our clients. We are also fully computerised in our role as Agents for the Nationwide Building Society and are able to offer a full range of their facilities.

Meet the Team

NEIL HANCOCK, ACII	OFFICE/COMMERCIAL MANAGER Neil joined Meadons in 1996 having previously spent 17 years at the Norwich Union and Wellington Motor Policies. Apart from overseeing the general running of the office, he is responsible for developing the commercial account, and is the cricket scheme manager.
ROB LAWSON
CHRISTOPHER BATE	ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE Chris joined the company in 1998 having previously worked 5 years at the General Accident and 6 years in commercial broking. He works very much in tandem with Neil and is responsible for developing the commercial account.
NICOLA PEACOCK	HOUSEHOLD CONTROLLER Nicola joined the company at the age of 16 after leaving school, and has now been at Meadons for 13 years. She has developed into a valuable member of the Team being the Household Insurance expert and controller of Nationwide Building Society Agency
LESLEY PRIOR	COMMERCIAL ASSISTANT Lesley has worked at Meadons for 3 years with further 12 years experience in insurance broking. She predominantly deals with Commercial Administration but can deal with all aspects including Nationwide Building Society.
JANE KAY	CLAIMS CONTROLLER Jane joined Meadons 9 years ago having previously worked in insurance broking for 5 years. She has responsibility for handling the majority of the claims, commercial vehicle insurance, and assessing motor insurance renewals.
- MRS ANGELA BRATTON	PERSONAL INSURANCES ASSISTANT After a career break Angela returned to insurance in June 1999. She previously has 8 years experience in motor insurance broking. Angela mainly deals with motor insurance administration and the Nationwide Building Society.
- MISS RACHEL EDWARDS	PERSONAL INSURANCE ASSISTANT Rachel joined Meadons in July 2000 having previously had 6 years experience in customer services. She will be dealing with the Nationwide Building Society and Personal insurances.
- MISS NICOLA SMITH	TRAINEE INSURANCE CLERK Nicola joined the company in July 2000 on a national traineeship, which includes working towards an NVQ Level 2 in customer services.
